The vegetarian/vegan lifestyle is very popular these days. It is reported to be good for your health and also prevents or reduces animal suffering. I don’t know about any of that, but my husband, Howard, wouldn’t be happy with a meal without meat. He’s said numerous times, “don’t feed me none of that vegan hippie crap.” So we have meat at every meal. Sometimes our schedules get hectic and overfull, and cooking a healthy, meat filled meal becomes a formidable challenge. But don’t fret. I’m here to help. I’m going to show you how to make my Easy Four Cheese Lasagna Surprise.
- One package of ground beef. Something close to a pound.
- 1 ¼ cups of hot water
- 1 ¾ cups of milk
- One box of Hamburger Helper Four Cheese Lasagna
- One helping of secret ingredient
- Shredded cheese (optional)
First, cook the ground beef. Put the meat in the pan and break it up into pieces while it cooks. When the meat is thoroughly cooked, mix in the water and the milk. Stir it up a little bit and then add the Hamburger Helper sauce mix and pasta. Stir it up to make sure all of the ingredients are mixed together. Bring it all to a boil. Once you get it boiling really good, turn down the heat and cover it up. Let it all simmer for about ten minutes. Stir it up every now and then while it’s cooking. It’s done when the pasta is good and tender. Add secret ingredient.
Let your Easy Four Cheese Lasagna Surprise cool for a little bit before you serve it. It will be hot. Then put it in a bowl or on a plate and serve it up to your family and/or friends. Top it with cheese or other ingredients to taste. This meal reheats very well, so put the leftovers in the refrigerator and save for later.
